Formula Explanation

The page list you enter (like "1-3,5,8-10") is parsed into a set of page numbers, duplicates are removed, and the matching pages are copied — in ascending order — from the original PDF into a new document. The source file itself is never modified.

Example Calculation

On a 10-page PDF, entering 1-3,5,8-10 extracts pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, and 10 — a 7-page result — leaving out pages 4, 6, and 7.

What Your Result Means

The downloaded file contains only the pages you specified, in ascending page order, regardless of the order you typed them in — so "5,1-3" and "1-3,5" produce the same result.

  • To keep everything except a few pages, list all the ranges you want to keep rather than the ones to remove.
  • Very large PDFs may take a few seconds to load and process.
