Exam Countdown

Track how many days are left until each of your exams.

No exams added yet — add one above to start your countdown.

What is it?

An exam countdown tracks how many days remain until each upcoming exam, helping you prioritize study time across multiple subjects at once.

Formula Explanation

Each exam date is compared against today's date at midnight, and the difference in whole days is shown. Exams are automatically sorted so the soonest one always appears first, with the very next exam highlighted.

Example Calculation

Adding a Chemistry Final dated 10 days from today shows a countdown badge of 10 days left, updating to Tomorrow and then Today as the date approaches.

How to Use

  1. Enter the subject or exam name.
  2. Choose the exam date.
  3. Click Add Exam — it's added to your sorted countdown list.
  4. Repeat for every upcoming exam you want to track.

Benefits

  • Tracks multiple exams at once, automatically sorted by date.
  • Highlights your single next upcoming exam.
  • Marks past exam dates so your list stays accurate without manual cleanup.

Use Cases

  • Planning study time across several exams in the same week.
  • Keeping a running list of all finals for a semester.
  • Sharing an upcoming exam date with a study group.

What Your Result Means

The badge on each exam shows exactly how many days remain. "Today" and "Tomorrow" are called out specifically since those are the days that matter most for last-minute preparation.

Tips

  • Add every exam for the term at once so you can see your busiest weeks at a glance.
  • Remove or leave past exams — they're automatically grayed out rather than deleted, so you can still see what already happened.
  • Use this alongside the Pomodoro Timer to plan focused study sessions before each exam.

Common Mistakes

  • Only tracking the next exam and losing sight of ones further out that still need preparation time.
  • Forgetting to add an exam right after it's announced, losing early planning time.
  • Confusing the exam date with a related deadline, like a project due date instead of the actual test.

FAQs

Does this save my exams if I close the tab?

No, this tool works entirely in your browser for the current session and does not save data — re-add your exams if you return later.

What happens after an exam date passes?

Past exams remain in the list, grayed out and marked "Past", so you can see your full exam history for the term without it cluttering the upcoming countdown.

Can I track exams for more than one subject?

Yes, add as many exams as you need — they are automatically sorted so the soonest exam always appears at the top.

Exam data is not saved between visits — it only persists while this page stays open.
